Gill Baits. Next Generation.

The DORAN 127F is a bluegill-style hybrid lure that expertly fuses the drawing power of a hard bait with the natural, supple advantages of a soft bait. Designed to trigger bites through a variety of techniques while ensuring high hook-up retention, it redefines the category. Attaching your snap to the nose line eye enables standard surface tactics such as dead sticking, dead slow retrieves, I-shape tracking, and steady retrieves. Switching the snap to the side eye on the body creates a "Yoko-Yoko" (side-to-side) action, allowing the lure to swim laterally. Furthermore, by inserting the included sinker into the weight hole at the base of the lip, you can instantly adjust the lure from slow to fast sinking. This versatility covers everything from erratic stop-and-go flashing and cranking to bottom dead sticking for sight fishing. The small lip even allows for "hang-off" techniques, snagging the lure on sparse submerged branches in high-potential spots to entice a strike. The natural rear body not only enhances lifelike movement but also solves the common issue of bluegill-style hard baits being difficult for bass to inhale. Upon a strike, the body folds, allowing for deep inhalation and solid hook-ups. With on-the-fly adjustability to match any bass behavior, the DORAN 127F and its unique hybrid features set a new standard for bluegill lures.

Usage 1 | Surface Dead Sticking, I-Shape, and Dead Slow Retrieve
An effective technique for the post-spawn season when bluegill linger near the surface. With its realistic profile and a tail that moves naturally, it perfectly mimics a live bluegill. This lifelike presence serves as the ultimate trigger for bass that are hesitant to bite.

Usage 2 | Surface "Yoko-Yoko" Action
By attaching the snap to the side eye, the flat body grips and displaces water to create a side-swimming action with massive drawing power. Bumping the head against floating cover, bluffs, or sea walls mimics a cornered bluegill desperately trying to escape along the shoreline.

Usage 3 | High-Speed Stop & Go
Adding the external weight (2.0g) converts the lure to a slow-sinking model. Using a high-gear reel to rapidly turn the handle 2–3 times before stopping creates a sharp, flashing action unique to high-profile lures. This tempo denies the bass time to think, forcing an instinctive reaction bite.

Usage 4 | Mid-Range "Yoko-Yoko" Action
Equipped with the side-eye snap and external weight, the lure performs its lateral action in the mid-range. This allows you to reach areas typically inaccessible, such as deep under overhangs or docks, catching off-guard bass in the tightest pockets.

Usage 5 | Bottom Sight Fishing
Adding the external weight (3.5g) shifts the lure to a fast-sinking spec. By placing it on the bottom in the path of a cruising bass, it mimics a vulnerable bluegill or crucian carp. The hybrid texture provokes aggressive, "pinning" bites. Removing the belly treble and moving a \#4 size treble hook to the side eye reduces snags while significantly increasing the hook-up rate in this scenario.
