Takahara did it! He won NBC chapter Kanagawa 2nd. Winning bait was ECO4 Jig Synchro.



NBC chapter Kanagawa 2nd was held on 5th June at Lake Ashinoko. O.S.P pro staff Kiyoshi Takahara won with 3 fish 5610g.

Winning bait was ECO4 Jig Synchro of new color supervised by Takahara.

Takayuki Suzuki finished 4th at JB TOP 50 2nd with Do-Live Crawler.





JB top 50 2nd was held from 3rd to 5th June at Nomura Dam Ehime Pref. O.S.P pro staff Takayuki Suzuki brought 8829g and got 4th prize.



He used wacky jig head of Do-Live Crawler.



※JB Top 50 is the biggest and authentic bass tournament in Japan.

Orikin 2nd and Yamazoe 5th at NAB 3rd tournament





NAB21(Narita Airport Basser21) tournament 3rd was held on 5th June at Lake Inba. O.S.P pro staff Daisuke Yamazoe finished 5th and Kazuki Orikane aka Orikin claimed 2nd with 3 fish 4420g!

Yamazoe used Do-Live Claw 4 (scuppernong, Ebimiso black), 5～8.8g　texas rig.

He also caught 1300g big fish with Zero one jig 7g(green claw)+Do-Live Claw 4(scuppernong) .

Noriyoshi Kawakami wins Yamanakako chapter 2nd with O.S.P jig synchro.



Yamanakako chapter tournament 2nd was held on 5th June at Lake Yamanaka Yamanashi pref. O.S.P pro staff Noriyoshi Kawakami got the wining trophy with 3 fish 3450g.



He relied on O.S.P jig 04 synchro 1.8g(KT dark smoke/copper & green flake) and caught big bass over 50cm.

※(KT dark smoke/copper & green flake) is a new color coming early July.

One of the O.S.P members in charge of development section Yoichi Hashimoto finished 3rd at JB Kasumigaura 2nd held on 29th May

NBC chapter Ehime was held on 29th May at Nomura Dam of Ehime pref.

O.S.P Pro staff Seikan Ueta finished 2th with 2160g (3 fish).

And he got big fish prize by 1480g fish!

Tokyo Bay Boat Seabass tournament aka BST was held on 17th May, 2016. That was the third event of this year and O.S.P pro staff Masaaki Endo won with total length 262.5cm (5f).



This is Endo’s comment.

It was a rough and gusty day almost 10m wind speed. I narrowed down the spot after practice but I headed for different spot to avoid fishing the same spot with other anglers.

And I decided to fish weed area and traced weed edge. Then caught 3 fish with Rudra. Then I moved to some spot near Futtsu. I got bite as I expected by retrieving Varuna at the edge of break line. There were a lot of sardine in this spot. That is why I used Varuna because it dives deep enough.

I used Rudra and Varuna properly. To search the spot I used Rudra and to let it dive deep I used Varuna.



As for color, I selected natural color and new color coming this July. I fished with these colors but all I caught with new color “ Island Cruise Double Chart Conoshiro “ I really think that is a good color.

After spending the first half of the month chasing after monster rockfish, I switched up my tackle and heading out into Tokyo bay in search of some seabass and yellowtails!





This time of the year, the Seabass are just starting to feed up and return to their fighting weight after their long winter spawn. On this past trip out, I managed to find a few number of Seabass foraging on finger mullets and sardines. When the Seabass are munching on these two sources of food ,you can’t find a single lure better than O.S.P’s RUDRA 130S and VARUNA 110S!

I started off the day casting RUDRA 130S and scored a few nice Seabass! Unfortunately, the RUDRA bite died off rather quickly and that forced me to downsize to my second favorite lure, VARUNA 110S! (Due to the increased number of guides on Tokyo bay, we start off the day casting larger lures and finish the day on smaller sized ones.)

Within a few cast, I got the fish fired up again and just hammered them almost the whole day!

If you love seabass fishing as much as I do, you owe yourself a favor to score up a RUDRA and VARUNA! You won’t be sorry you did.

With spring finally here, it’s time to pack away those heavy winter blankets and get to fishing.

This past Saturday and Sunday was the annual 「LURE FESTA in SENDAI」fishing show!
(BTW: It was great to meet and greet so many OSP fans and enthusiastic anglers! )

While at the show, I met up with a local fishing charter service( EARNEST) and planned for a trip out with him yesterday.

Wasting no time, let’s get to the action! I don’t have much to say other than yesterday was damn awesome !



I got to fish with O.S.P CEO T.Namiki and also tape an original O.S.P YouTube video together! We were fishing for greenling using O.S.P’s fine line-up of soft baits.

I started off the action by catching a monster sized greenling on a 1/2oz jig head rigged with an HP SHADTAIL 3.1″ Man talk about fight! This guy was dodging the guides net for about 2minuets!



Shortly after landing that first fish it was all out madness! Both myself and T. Namiki just tore them up using a wide variety of lures( DoLive Craw 3″, HP SHADTAIL 3.1″&3.6″)Catching fish after fish until our arms were dead!

RIVRE Bass Club Tournament 2016 2nd event was held at lake Biwa on 17th April, O.S.P　pro staff Toshimichi Kitayama finished 2nd with 4995g/3fish.



He relied on drop shot of Do-Live Curly (skappanon) .

And his partner finished 3rd with 4645g/3 fish using the same rig.
